Welcome to Curated & Saved, a personal collection of things I’m loving right now.

📖Reading: Okay Days by Jenny Mustard
Telling the story of Sam and Lucas’ on-again-off-again relationship was the nice quiet tonic I needed this week. Set to the backdrop of a hot London summer, the two characters feel messy, chaotic, and with relatable insecurities. Mustard’s writing feels almost mundane, with a focus on the small highs and lows and quieter moments in life and I appreciate the somewhat disjointed (and very human) character development for both Sam and Lucas.
📚In Progress: Mythica, Emily Hauser1
🎶Listening to: Guts (Spilled), Olivia Rodrigo
As you read this I’ll be patiently awaiting Olivia’s arrival to the Great Oak Stage at BST in Hyde Park! And obviously to mark the occassion I’ve been binge listening to Guts and the official tour setlist too.
💻Watching: The girls are bringing b(l)ack whimsy: flowerovlove, pink patheress, flyana boss + more (Lani’s Lens)
🎥 Watching: KPop Demon Hunters (2025)
I got so excited to seeing the trailer for this a few weeks back and it did not disappoint. KPop Demon Hunters is almost exactly what it says on the tin. Following a KPop girl group, Huntrix, who moonlight as demon hunters, using their music and voices to protect the world against evil. Their latest foe? An irresistable rival boy band of demons in disguise. A bright, bubbly movie full of catchy bops (I’ve had Golden stuck in my head the last few days), KPop Demon Hunters was a delightful surprise of a movie. It wonderfully balanced emotional character depth, quippy slapstick comedy (with nods to anime in its style), and a pacey storyline. I also felt it took some well humoured jabs a Idols and their fandoms, whilst honouring Korean culture and the music scene. A big recommendation from me for both KPop and none KPop fans!
📱Scrolling through: The Okamoto Sisters
A little trio of creators for you! Pretty sure I came across Issa Okamoto’s TikTok’s about her starting culinary school first. Then Ameya and Nayda’s videos of the three of them completing the Cleveland Marathon together popped up on my feed recently and I have since fallen down a rabbit hole. There’s also just something about rare about seeing Asian siblings out here living their best lives!

🚨News alert: Zohran Mamdani’s Mayoral Win in New York
Zohran Mamdani made history winning a landslide victory to become New York’s first Muslim mayor, running on a progressive platform with a grassroots campaign. Nothing quite like waking up to good news from across the pond for once - on a New Moon and Jupiter Cazimi too and feels like an optimistic omen. Bernie Sanders also wrote a great article in the Guardian about what this means now for the Democratic party
The Long Form
Anna Wintour Steps Back From American Vogue (Back Row)
As one of the most prominent voices in the fashion world is stepping away as Editor-In-Chief of American Vogue. Anna Wintour annouced to staff this week (and essentially the world) that she is looking for a new Head of Editorial Content for American Vogue to replace the role she’s held for nearly 40 years. The Back Row and The Guardian have done a great breakdowns of what this now means for for both Anna and the publication going forward.
Whilst publication shaping figures have stepped away from roles like this (Edward Enninful is a good example at British Vogue), Wintour’s shoes will be hard to fill. It will be interesting to see how the business evolves over the next few years in light of this, the way digital spaces are rapidly changing the print industry and whether a new Head could ring in a new magazine rennaisaince. Either way it seems like a healthy move for Wintour considering how many (very stylish) hats she had been wearing over the past few years.
The Backlist
Reacting to my salty opinions about marriage now I’m a wife (Leena Norms)
So I made a little announcement on Instagram and now the cats out of the bag that I’m engaged I wanted to share some of Leena Norm’s content around marriage and her elopement. Whilst we’re not planning an elopement as such (it’ll be a family focused micro-wedding) it has felt reassuring to not only hear Leena’s thoughts on making sure the day is what you want it to be.
Thanks for checking out this week’s Curated & Saved! I’d love to hear what resonated with you, or if you’ve got any hidden gems to share.
Thanks to Random House UK, Transworld, and NetGalley for my advanced reader copy of this book
